The Rental Housing Act stipulates that if requested by a tenant, a Landlord must reduce a lease agreement to writing. Furthermore, Landlords must furnish tenants with certain documents like the Housing Rules applicable to the dwelling and conduct a move in inspection with the tenant before occupation to determine defects which the Landlord has the responsibility to rectify.
